Terms of service.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Secure Correct Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the client (“you”, “your”) for the provision of fire and security management services.
By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Scope of Service
Secure Correct provides organisational, administrative and management support for your fire and security responsibilities, including:
Scheduling planned maintenance
Coordinating contractors
Tracking remedial actions
Storing and organising documentation
Providing compliance oversight
Offering general support, updates and reporting
Important:
Secure Correct does not install, service, repair or certify fire or security systems.
All engineering work is completed by independent, third-party contractors.
We do not issue compliance certificates or sign legal declarations on behalf of the client.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
Remain the legal Responsible Person/Duty Holder under fire safety law
Provide accurate information about your site and systems
Ensure appropriate contractors are appointed
Approve and act upon remedial works and safety recommendations
Provide access and availability for contractor visits
Inform us of any changes to your systems, layout or building use
Failure to act on urgent remedial recommendations may affect your compliance status.
4. Our Responsibilities
We will:
Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules
Communicate with contractors on your behalf
Track reports, certificates and required actions
Organise your digital documentation folder
Provide updates and reporting as per your chosen package
Highlight compliance risks or overdue works to you promptly
We do not guarantee contractor availability, pricing or workmanship.
5. Contractors
All engineering work is carried out by external companies.
You acknowledge that:
Contractors remain fully responsible for the quality, safety and accuracy of their work
Secure Correct is not liable for actions, errors, delays or omissions made by contractors
We may recommend accredited contractors, but the decision to appoint them is yours
We coordinate contractors, but we do not supervise engineering work or control their scheduling capacity.
6. Fees, Invoicing & Payment Terms
You will be charged an annual management fee, based on your site size and selected package.
Contractor invoices are passed through transparently and separately.
Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise stated.
Late payments may incur reasonable administration fees.
Where agreed, Secure Correct may consolidate contractor invoices for administrative convenience.
7. Contract Length & Renewal
Your agreement begins on the date of signing and lasts for 12 months.
At the end of the 12-month term, the contract will automatically renew for a further 12 months unless either party provides written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Secure Correct is not liable for system failures, false alarms, contractor performance, missed visits, or non-compliance arising from contractor actions or client inaction
We are not responsible for fines, enforcement actions, insurance decisions, or legal outcomes
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the total annual fee paid by the client
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Document Storage & Data Privacy
We store documentation securely using industry-standard digital platforms
Your data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR
We will never sell or share your data unnecessarily
Upon termination, we will provide copies of documentation we hold for you
We are registered with the ICO where required.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice in line with the cancellation terms.
Upon termination:
We will provide your organised documentation
Coordinating responsibilities end immediately
Any outstanding invoices must be settled
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in services or legal requirements. Any updates will be communicated to you in writing.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
